The past 2 weeks I worked a lot because of a special contract we had with a visiting company. Most days I taught for 7.5 hours (not including prep time), and on Friday I taught for 9 hours! All of that to say, I am loving my job, and it doesn’t feel like work. I am so thankful that God gave me a job at this particular school, because I think it’s one of the best, for students as well as teachers.
When I haven’t been working, I’ve been doing a lot of fun things.
Here are some photos:
Hot chocolate and donuts with Carlos
A friend invited me to give a presentation on the US at a school for their “United Nations” event. Here is the student portion of the event 🙂
I found a new restaurant with good chilaquiles AND delicious coffee
Fish ‘n Chips at Saltillo’s only Irish pub, Dublin
Birthday dinner with friends
My roommate got a cat!
Nut butters aren’t popular in Mexico, so I was shocked to find almond butter at one of the HEBs here. It was almost 10 bucks, but what the heck, some things are worth it
It’s so much easier to get up for work when the sun is already out. Thank you Daylight Savings!
This week I went to teach my first class at a company!
Day of the Dead decorations downtown
Day of the Dead is such a strange (but colorful) holiday! This altar is honoring a famous writer from Saltillo
Rosy and I went out for breakfast and made a new friend from Argentina!
I could try to explain it in more words, but it’s probably easiest to say that I’m content here. And every day, I am realizing more and more that God is very good, and powerful beyond measure. There’s really nothing more to ask for!
